Every Client Has a Unique Path to Financial Rediscovery
Second Chance Focused
Your privacy and financial dignity matter to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Utu Bora Credit collects, uses, and protects your personal information in compliance with the Data Protection Act of Kenya and applicable business regulations.
Our Commitment to You: We believe every client has a unique path to financial rediscovery and success. Unlike traditional lenders, we do not share your credit records with Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs). We assess you based on your current potential, not your past mistakes.

3. Credit Information Sharing - Important Notice
We do NOT share your credit records with Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs).
Unlike traditional lenders who report defaults to CRBs (Metropol, Creditinfo, TransUnion), Utu Bora Credit operates on a different philosophy. We believe:
- Every client deserves a second chance regardless of their credit history elsewhere.
- A financial misstep is just a moment, not a life sentence. We focus on where you're going, not where you've been.
- Each borrower has a unique path to financial rediscovery and success.
What this means for you:
- Your loan with Utu Bora Credit will never appear on your CRB report.
- Late payments or defaults with us will not affect your ability to get loans from other lenders.
- We assess you based on our internal trust system and your current ability to repay.
- Good repayment behavior with us helps you rebuild financial confidence, but we do not "report" this to CRBs.
Information we may share (with your consent): We only share your information with third parties when necessary for loan processing (e.g., payment gateways, SMS providers) or when required by law enforcement with a valid court order.
4. Data Protection and Security
We are committed to protecting your data and have implemented comprehensive security measures:
- Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted during transmission and storage.
- Access Controls: Your data is accessible only by authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
- Secure Infrastructure: Our systems are hosted on secure servers with regular security audits.
- Data Retention: We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill our business and legal obligations.
